The paths of Meteora

Trail Roussanou monastery loop trail

A relatively short route, which goes around the reliefs around the Roussanou monastery, passing by the monastery itself.

The start of the route is from the parking lot of the Roussanou monastery, where we can leave our vehicle.

We go up the steps to the monastery, pass it and come out on the perimeter asphalt of the monasteries, which we follow to the east.

After a parking area (and passable rocks with an excellent view) we leave the asphalt and descend into the valley. The path passes under the Roussanou monastery and turning upstream brings us back to our starting point.
