Doubiani-Varlaam monastery glebe

The trail Doubiani-Varlaam monastery glebe starts from the rock of Doubiani and runs between the towers of the western side of Meteora to the location of Stavros. The route continues on a dirt road and ends at the Varlaam monastery glebe.

From Doubiani tower, ascend smoothly on a path that goes around the western side of Meteora towers, a bit higher than a dirt road. Eventualy cross the dirt road that once served the Ypapantis monastery and continue up to the Vlachavas memorial.

Continue on the well-trodden and marked paths and reach the Varlaam Metochi (Varlaam glebe) area, a rather large monastery-like complex that used to be a satelite of the Varlaam monastery.
