Menalon Trail is the first Greek hiking network to be certified as a Leading Quality Trail - Best of Europe.
Menalon Trail extends at a length of 75 km and runs through 9 settlements (Stemnitsa, Dimitsana, Zygovisti, Elati, Vytina, Nymphasia, Magouliana, Valtesiniko, Lagadia), making good use of the tourist infrastructure of Gortynia.
The design and the organization of the trail and the general infrastructure that supports it, follow the specifications set by the European Ramblers Association (ERA) for the certification of hiking networks. After its certification based on 41 quantitative, qualitative and technical criteria, the route is recommended by ERA to hikers as a cohesive, interesting and safe mountain adventure.
