K. Mitsotakis Foundation contracted the Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage to study a hiking network in the area encircled by Agia Kyriaki monastery, Therissos, Zourva, Tromarissa fountain and Poria col.
This montane zone consists of two discrete morphological entities: the low ridge of Kastelos-Templa-Kampia-Foles, which extends between the valleys of Therissos and Meskla, while the Lefka Ori section extends from Zourva to the limits of the Samaria Gorge National Park in Poria.
The study team hiked and mapped 14 routes with a total length of approximately 60 km.
