The paths of Meteora

Trail Kalambaka-Megalo Meteoro Monastery

The route starts from the Neraida spring and goes up through the valley that opens between the Alyssos and Agia Triada towers.

After the height of the monastery of Agia Triada, we turn left and go up to the asphalt that serves the monastery of Roussanou. We pass below the monastery of Roussanou, in an open valley with lush vegetation. Through an alley we go to the path that goes up to the monastery of Megalo Meteoros.

This final path is wide and well made, as it used to be the only road to the crowded monasteries of Megalo Meteoros and Varlaam.

At the end of the climb we arrive at the parking area of the Megalo Meteorou monastery.
