Kareas monastery short loop
This route, one of the four loop trails above the Karea monastery.
The route starts at the parking area beneath the monastery and in the beginning follows the main path that goes to the higher dirt road above Karea monastery. Leave the road behind and ascend to the small refuge of the Ilioupolis Mountaineering Club, and next to the fire watchtower. To get back, from the fire watchtower follow the road downhill and then cross the old quarry area above the monastery.
