The halophyte Limonium kardamylii grows exclusively on the coastal rocky strip from Kardamyli to Stoupa, while the attractive chasmophytic shrub Lithodora zahnii grows in the gorges of Messenian Mani and Taygetos. Similar distribution, restricted in the Mani - Taygetos zone, have also the bulb Scilla messeniaca, the fritillary Fritillaria davisii, the autumn crocus Colchicum psaridis, the catchfly Silene goulimyi and others.

At the same time, in the wider area of Kardamyli, at least 15 species of orchids have been recorded, mainly belonging to Ophrys and Serapias genera. Read more in the chapter Orchids of Kardamyli.
