Mt. Hymettus: Around Kesariani monastery

A long, tiring though complete path that climbs across the western side of Mt. Hymettus, offering a rewarding and rich view.

From the Kesariani monastery climb up the church of Analipsi and from there catch the path to Kalopoula and leave it(just before the descent towards the source) to ascend to the upper longitudinal road of Mt. Hymettus. Intersect the dirt road and continue on forest to find the upper portion of the asphalt leading to the summit. We take Route 10 and go a little backwards to the ridge and to follow a faint path that climb - a little clumsily - the north ridge of the summit ridge and bring us to a dirt road and then to asphalt road winding among the military installations at the highest accessible point of the mountain.
