One can start on the very clear path adjacent to the road (signpost) and rest at the nice recreation area on the Hill of Taxiarches, having walked only 750 meters. The two religious monuments (an Early Christian basilica or Fragomonastiro and the chapel of Taxiarches), the gently sloping hillside, smooth rocks and the pinewood are an ideal play area for children of all ages. The route then crosses an orchard field and arrives at the entrance of the Kesariani monastery, which can now be visited as an archaeological site. Return using a different path, always under the shade of the pines and cypresses of the Aesthetic Forest of Kesariani.
