The whole route is very well waymarked by the international E4 marking Yellow/Black stripes.

The first part, from Sougia to Trypiti, is an easy and nice hike, with an open view and a variety of landscapes. Along the next part, from Trypiti to Domata beach, one will face some exposed passages, that ask some attention.

The Domata beach is the critical point of the trail. You must look for the ravine that leads, after a steep ascent, to Xeroporta, the unique viable passage to the Agia Roumeli area.

From Xeroporta, a well-trotten path goes downhill to Agia Roumeli, passing under a cliff with several caves.

E4 trail from Sougia to Agia Roumeli, as well as 30 more hiking routes are included in the hiking app Lefka Ori topoguide. The app is available for Android devices, as well as for iOS iOS devices (iPhone και iPad).
