In the northern part of the wider area of Τenaro, that is, in the area of Poula (Katopagi, Panopagi and Kavo Grosso) we will find all the species that are present in the area of Aeropoli (Ophrys tenthredinifera, Ophrys speculus, Ophrys speculum, Ophrys speculum, Ophrys speculum Ophrys mammosa, Ophrys sicula, Ophrys bombyliflora, Neotinea tridentata, Orchis italica, Anacamptis papilionacea and Himantoglossum robertianum).
The diversity and the size of the population of orchids are less impressive in Tainaro itself, that is, south of the neck that connects the cape with the main peninsula of Mani. Across the phrygana formations of the rocky slopes we find scattered Serapias orientalis and Neotinea tridentata, few Himantoglossum robertianum and some Anacamptis papilionacea. In certain places we will find small groups of Ophrys ferrum-equinum and Ophrys spruneri, as well as a few Anacamptis pyramidalis.
